There are few possibilities for BB reader not being able to read your phone:

1. Please make sure you are connecting your Blackberry in the correct order, first you click “RUN” than “READ PHONE” and only after that you connect/plug in your phone.

2. You might need to turn off Media Card Support on your BlackBerry

To turn off Media Card Support on your BlackBerry with OS 5.0 and below:

- go to “Options”
- click “Media card” or “Memory Card” or “Memory”
- turn Mass Storage Mode Support off
- turn Media Card Support off
- save the settings and exit

To turn off Media Card Support on your BlackBerry with OS 6.0 and up:

- go to “Options”
- click on “Device”
- click on “Storage”
- turn Media Card Support off
- save the settings and exit

Do not forget to turn Media Card Support back on after getting MEP and IMEI number

3. You might need to turn off Password Setting on your Blackberry

To turn off Password Setting on your BlackBerry with OS 5.0 and below:

- go to “Options”
- click on “Security Options”
- click on “General Settings”
- turn off the password
- save the settings and exit

To turn off Password Setting on your BlackBerry with OS 6.0 and up:

- go to “Options”
- click on “Security”
- click on “Password”
- uncheck “Enable”
- save the settings and exit

Do not forget to turn your Password Setting back on after getting MEP and IMEI number
